Personal Injury

When an individual is injured or harmed as a result of another person’s negligent or reckless conduct, the injured party may be entitled to compensation for damages and other costs. Insurance companies do not necessarily have the injured party’s best interests in mind; they routinely offer insufficient settlement amounts in an attempt to induce the injured party to agree to a “low-ball” offer.  It is essential to obtain representation from an experienced personal injury attorney who understands how to successfully negotiate with insurance carriers in order to get you the fair compensation that you deserve and that you are entitled. Compensation may include payment for:

  • Medical bills
  • Physical therapy
  • Rehabilitative care
  • Pain and suffering
  • Property damage
  • Loss of consortium
  • Loss of present and future earnings
  • Automobile repairs or replacement

What Kinds of Injuries and Accidents Can Abercrombie Law Firm Help You With?

There are many different kinds of accidents and negligence cases.  We can help you obtain fair compensation in virtually any personal injury claim, including the following:

  • Automobile accidents
  • Truck accidents
  • Motorcycle accidents
  • Medical Malpractice
  • Pedestrian or bicycle accidents
  • Drunk driving accidents
  • Dog or animal bites
  • Premises liability
  • Slip and fall
  • Product liability or defective products
  • Wrongful death

If you were injured in a motor vehicle accident, it is important for a determination to be made whether or not the responsible party behaved in a negligent or reckless manner. As an example, if the driver of an automobile was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of a crash, it is likely to affect your case and the compensation.  To that end, we will review accident reports, police records, witness statements, and other relevant documentation and evidence in order to come to the proper conclusion regarding liability and damages. We will utilize that information during settlement negotiations and/or court proceedings in order to obtain the compensation you deserve.

Personal, Individualized Client Attention

Attorney Anita E. Abercrombie handles each case with individual care and attention to detail. She takes a sincere and personal interest in each client’s case and realizes that the results significantly affect the client’s future.  It is not uncommon for a client to feel compelled to settle a case for an amount that is far less than the amount that can be attained through patient and thorough negotiations, additional case research and investigation, or a trial, if necessary. Attorney Abercrombie has the experience, perspective and insight to help you obtain the proper amount – not the amount that is immediately offered.

The Abercrombie Law Firm handles cases in several South Carolina counties, including:

  • York
  • Chester
  • Lancaster
  • Union
  • Cherokee

If you live outside of these counties and you would like to speak with the Abercrombie Law Firm, you are welcome to contact us.  We invite your inquiries.

No Advanced Fees for Personal Injury Clients

Our fees for personal injury cases are generally based on a percentage of the amount that we recover for the client.  In other words, if we do not recover anything, it does not cost the client any money.  If there are expenses relevant to the case, they will be deducted from the final settlement amount or court award.
